Health World is a not-for-profit public charity, dedicated to
promoting education and providing children with the information they need to build healthy lives. Health World became a reality
in October 1995, when the Illinois museum opened its doors for interactive, hands-on learning.
The need for providing this important information was re-affirmed by the hundreds-of-thousands of children that visit
Health World in Illinois each year. Close to 2-million visitors have participated in positive lessons they will carry
with them for a lifetime.
The vision is to make this important educational information available for all students. Health World made its
comprehensive health curriculum available in Arizona in 1999. Since that time, Health World of Scottsdale has
provided area school districts with outreach programs that engage students, provide age-appropriate information
and spark their interest in learning.
Following the successful launch of the Outreach Health and Safety Programs, Health World set its
sights on other programs to help educate and serve the community. Programs like HORSENSE, Victory!
Winning the Battle Over School Violence and now plans for a Safety Town are woven into the Health World curriculum and mission.
Health World programs are endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
